Cancellation Policy

• There will be no fee for cancelled sessions when sessions are cancelled more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled session, or if a session can be rescheduled within the week. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled session or cannot be rescheduled, clients will be charged 50% of the session fee. Individuals receiving services are expected to maintain 80% of scheduled sessions over a 3-month period. This allows for unexpected cancellation while still maintaining effective services. If attendance falls below 80% in a 3-month period, the music therapist will work with the individual to determine how to best accommodate the individual’s needs; either through changing session frequency, taking a short break from services, or discontinuing services. • If an individual has two consecutive no-shows and does not return attempted contact from the music therapist within one week of the second no-show, services will be terminated. • A session will be considered a no-show if the music therapist present for a scheduled session and the individual does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled session and the individual does not contact the therapist to cancel. Clients will be charged 50% of the session cost. • The music therapist will provide as much notice as possible to individuals if the therapist needs to cancel a session for any reason by directly contacting the individual.
